So I am going through a transitional period with this whole VoD and streaming business. I'm at a point where I need to decide what direction I want to take this in. I have 2 YouTube channels and I have also done streaming. I actually started streaming before YouTube. I know that folks say not to do this for the money, but, in a way that is exactly why I am doing it. I am disabled and can not work a "Real Job". I am at the point where I need to decide if I am going to stream or if I am going to do VoDs (YouTube). I know folks say to do both, but, at this time that is just not an option for me. I love streaming and interacting with folks live. I also love the creativity and non pressure of doing VoDs. I'm not, however, so keen on editing. In fact I currently have 10 recordings waiting to be edited and uploaded to YouTube.

So here is my question... Which is easier to turn into a fulltime income Streaming or VoDs on YouTube?

Judging by your subscriber count on YouTube and your follower count on Twitch, I wouldn't go into making streaming a full time career yet. I'd give it some time before making a large commitment. Unless you seriously don't have a lot of other options considering your disability. Maybe consider a small side job at Wal Mart or something while doing some streaming here or there. Getting big on Twitch or YouTube is not easy. There are lots of streamers and lots of gamers on the Internet right now so making it big is very difficult. So if you are considering going forward with fulltime streaming and or video producing then you have to go all in. Full on 100% commitment. Then again, a lot of my streamer friends, despite being really creative and great content producers, still barely gain any viewers after years of constant streaming. It's not at all easy, but it is possible.

As for the streaming or vod's thing, I'd suggest doing both but doing YouTube on a smaller scale. Like what BrownMan does such as only uploading archives of streams and monthly highlight videos. Then again, I'm not big on the streaming thing so I'm not exactly an expert on this sort of thing.

Best of luck to you and your career.

I think you should start yt first, and as you build up audience, start streams.

If we're speaking 'easy', then we want to say 'Streaming'. Streaming requires a lot less effort and a lot less time put into it.

If we're talking about what's best, I would say start out on Youtube unless if you can find a popular Streamer who will do a collaboration with you. e;g; if you have a streaming friend with even 500 concurrent viewers when he/she streams and they give you a shoutout, you're certain to get attention and will build from there; even if someone HOSTS your stream it may be better for you.

However, with that said, I believe you should start with Youtube, and likely stick with Youtube. The gaming industry is booming, as is the comedic area, and Vlogs are doing nicely as well. Go with what you feel is best and what suits your comfort zone. Youtube is just more convenient and fun as I see it.

I think YouTube, however..I'm not going to get into tooooo too much detail.
I just think that it's a great place to start especially to grow the fan base to move on to something else If you really wanted.

My Experience with Income on YouTube and Twitch:

Until you are a large twitch channel, you rely on donations. Donations are really hard to come by. I have not made a lot of money through donations, definitely not enough to support me. On YouTube on the other hand, I have generated a decent income due to me having a few videos go semi-viral (150k+ views each) and a lot of traffic. If you want to do something more fun, you could stream on twitch and record at the same time so you can post highlights to your channel. If you are focused on income, you need to publish everywhere until you are established. You have a small following on both social medias, so I would stream and upload HIGHLIGHTS, NOT FULL STREAM.

Now If you need help with titling, you need to catch attention and make people want to click on the video. I'm not saying to spam clickbait that is totally unrelated to the video, but make titles question about things going on in the video.

With that being said, do what suits you, Twitch relies off of luck and donations, YouTube relies off of clickbait and traffic. The ball is in your court to decide what you want to do! Hopefully this all helps you!

Streaming is the easiest method but i think youtube is the most income if done right. That aside there is also the option to livestream on youtube making 2 worlds become one. Instead of edits you just Livestream and let it upload afterwards for some additional views. This is what works best for me as i enjoy streaming but wanted to stay on youtube :)

If I go the streaming route this is probably what I would do. In the past when I have streamed it has been to multiple platforms at the same time. Mainly Twitch, Hitbox, Dailymotion, and YouTube, I'm actually partnered with all but Twitch. The big thing right now is the editing. Having a lower end rig it takes so long to edit. On top of that on days like today, I can play games no problem, but, due to my fibro I am unable to concentrate like I need to on editing. So right now I have like 10 videos all waiting to be edited all the while nothing is going up on the channel.

Yea i understand, regarding edits i don't have the proper tools for it wich made me go into livestreaming at the time. Been doing it this way for almost 4 years now and quite satisfied with the result :)
