NEWS The Game Awards - Highlights

In case you missed the awards I thought you might be interested in some of the winners.

The Game Awards, the annual streaming award show honoring all things gaming, gave out more than 20 awards.
Some of the top nominated games included Blizzard’s multiplayer smash Overwatch, Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, as well as indie games like Inside and Firewatch.

The Game Awards also honored esports, giving awards to the biggest game, best team and best player across a variety of games.

Here are some of the winners...

GAME OF THE YEAR:

• Winner: Overwatch (Blizzard)

BEST NARRATIVE:

• Winner: Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (Naughty Dog/SIE)

BEST INDEPENDENT GAME:

• Winner: Inside (Playdead)

BEST MOBILE/HANDHELD:

• Winner: Pokemon Go (Niantic)

BEST VR GAME:

• Winner: Rez Infinite (Enhance Games)

BEST ACTION GAME:

• Winner: DOOM (id Software/Bethesda Softworks)

BEST ACTION/ADVENTURE GAME:

• Winner: Dishonored 2 (Arkane Studios/Bethesda Softworks)

BEST RPG:

• Winner: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt -- Blood and Wine (CD Projekt RED)

TRENDING GAMER:

• Winner: Boogie2988

There are many more categories but the list is huge. Lots of highlights of anticipated games as well.

Tried Pokemon for a little bit but it got old fast for me.
