I use my Twitch alerts instead and just post a link in the description. Youtube takes a percentage of the funding anyway.

    Taken from Youtube Help section:
    Availability & eligibility requirements
To be eligible for Fan Funding, you must meet these requirements:

    • You're located in Australia, Japan, Mexico or the United States.
    • Your account is in good standing.
    • You meet the general criteria for YouTube partnership.
    • You have verified your account by phone.
    • You have an approved AdSense account linked to your YouTube account.
    • If you’re in a network, your network has to be enabled for Fan Funding.

Turn on Fan Funding for your channel
Before fans can show their support, you need to turn on Fan Funding for your channel and link it to a Google Payments Merchant account. This account handles all Fan Funding payments that you receive, just like AdSense does for your YouTube advertising revenue.

    1. Sign in to your YouTube account.
    2. In the top right-hand corner, click your account icon > Creator Studio.
    3. In the left-hand menu, click Channel > Status and features.
    4. In the list of features for your channel, click Enable next to "Fan Funding".
      • If you don't see an Enable button, it means that you don't meet the eligibility requirements.
      • If the Fan Funding option says that your network needs to sign an agreement with YouTube, your network needs to follow the instructions to turn on Fan Funding for the network.
    5. Follow the on-screen instructions to accept the YouTube Fan Funding Agreement.
    6. In the left-hand menu, click Community > Fan Funding.
    7. Follow the instructions to link your channel to a Google Payments Merchant account. You need to have or create a Google Payments Merchant account and link your channel to it before you can receive Fan Funding payments.

Fan funding isn't available when you with the Freedom!/MGN network and probably never will be as we handle a no-lock contract.

What Prinze says, if you are in Freedom! or MGN, you will not qualify to be in there MCN if you have Fan Funding enabled. You could also use Twitch Alerts, or paypal donations.

I'm not sure you can do this, so check with the network's support, but I'd consider getting a Patreon account and just linking to it in your channel and videos, and asking people to donate in your videos.

Fan funding isn't really the best, since YouTube takes a fee.

Is fan funding an inbuilt function in YouTube? And yeah that's why I recommended Patreon.

I agree with whats been said... Use a business only paypal, patreon, or the Twitch alerts thing. Hopefully you can create any of these and they work out for ya!!! Sry for, piggybacking on everyone elses words.... Patreon tho u can use for many things and add tiers, for,if ppl donate 1$, 5$, 10$, etc.
