I am very excited. I was just able to get the rest of my Xmas after I put my Nintendo Points on the eShop balance!! Which brings me back to my title lol... I finally got Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice!! These are the most recent games that have been released for the Nintendo 3DS. My body has been ready for this since the first whisper of them, let alone months after their release. Anyway, I have been a long time fan of the Phoenix Wright games, starting with Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney then Phoenix Wright Justice for All, and on to Phoenix Wright Trials and Tribulations. There was one more in the main series nestled between the first 3 and the new two called Apollo Justice Ace Attorney which I have not played, but plan on it when I get some more monies. Spinoffs include Miles Edgeworth Investigations 1 and 2, as well as a mash up of Phoenix Wright and Professor Layton in PW versus PL. Also released were two games that have not been released worldwide yet, but I hope they might some day. Lets move on to the actual games now.

So to start with each game is broke down into Turnabouts, which I think just means Chapters but basically represents different cases you will have in the course of the game. These chapters are further divided into playable sections where as the main character you run around gathering clues by speaking with witnesses/characters and searching the crime scene for clues that will help your case. In order to proceed from investigation to court room you must collect all clues needed for the next part, this progresses storyline. In the courtroom you defend the perp by drilling holes into the testimonies of the witnesses with contridictions and lies using the clues (entered as evidence) to prove the perps innocence. These court room precedings are further broken down into listening to the entire testimony, then into a questioning section where you press further for more information. With new info you find where your evidence creates contridictions in the testimony and then all is won when you prove the innocence of the perp. As each game released, new mechanics and characters were introduced to the cast, each game became more challenging. Also each game had more and more pop culture references that make the game hilarious. Some are easy to catch others not so much unless you are a #nerd . Anyways now to the new ones DD and SoJ.

Dual Destinies came out in 2013, and follows the line of the series, happening one year after the Apollo Justice game. With this game came a new mechanic from one of the attorneys named Athena who has tech that can sense a persons mood. This is the first time this mechanic enters into gameplay, whereas most everything else has been done since the beginning like psyche-lockes and dust printing. As for as storyline the court system has entered dark times and your little team comes back to provide help to those that are needing help to be proven innocent of the crime. Spirit of Justice released just last September 2016, and from the trailers I have seen, these two games are going to be amazeballs. In this new game not only do you have Psyche-Lockes, mood matrix with perceiving, and normal elements but they introduce a thing called Divination Seance where you get the ability to view a persons death through the victims memories of the moments right before they died. All in all I am so excited to play the game which is downloading right this second so be on the lookout for an update to this post as I play and finish the game!!!

The Phoenix Wright games are really fantastic.
I should get around to finishing the second game, I got stuck on the Circus case years ago and never returned to it out of frustration.
