As many of you know hardly anyone reads the descriptions of youtube videos. Well, it's the same on Twitch hardly anyone scrolls just below the stream to see the stuff you put. Weather it's the rules for chat, schedule, about your self or even a FAQ. what I want to ask for advice on is that I have a donation link in this little bit and I want to point people to it. But how do I do that with out seeming disrespectful or look like I'm begging. where my donation link is I put what it'll be used for, to leave a name so I can say thank you and that it's not mandatory to donate(cos then it would seem like I'm begging) following and just being there is enough. Which it is. As I feel I'm not sh** at it when someone sticks around and talks to me and especially when they follow.

I know people do read descriptions on YT, and I'm sure it's the same on Twitch; I've given and received referral links generating plenty traffic from them. I'd think about putting the link in your YT and Twitch profiles or bios, and descriptions. Maybe mention them in your videos, saying "If you've got the money spare and want to support me, I'd greatly appreciate it..." With the polite and non-imperative phrasing you shouldn't come across as either forceful or begging. Maybe say what you'll do with the money as well.

    Best of luck!

I always read the description and hoping that there are cool links or just general info on the video and not just the normal facebook and twitter links.

If you're thinking of Twitch for example. You can try using a bot, it can be set to auto-say a reply every hour or so with commands users can try. One of those commands could be a donation page.

I've seen quite a few big streamers do that, then again I do scroll down to check at times.
Regarding YouTube, I think there is a way to put a paypal link in your link nav bar on the front page of your channel? I might be wrong as I haven't tested this.

hmmm... I hate knowing that this is something you are absolutely right about - or the majority people don't look. An autobot is especially useful when using Twitch - and can be set to any length of time for autoposting in your chat. There is a lot of different things you can use to get your link across without seeming to be begging for a hand out....

I usually keep my donation link near the bottom of the description, so that anyone who cares enough to actually look at my description can see that they can donate.

Honestly if people want to donate they will go looking for that donate link - you can also if you really want to add a timed command to your bot lightly suggesting. Text to speech is a good incentive. I have a scare dono that people like to use aswell set up for $2 a piece. I have other custom donos too, one of which is a weird sound I made during stream that people found humorous. Give it time people will donate to you without pushing <3
