I've been a little busy this week so my news posts are a little behind. So I'm going to wrap up some of the bigger pieces of news in the gaming world in the last week in this post! Sorry for the lack of activity!

    PS4 4.00 Update
Later this week Sony released a new update for the PS4, firmware 4.00. The update comes in at over 300MB, and brings in some great new features.
With the addition of folders to manage games and apps and a revamped menu system it's now the most organized PS4 UI ever.
If you listen to music while gaming you also no longer have to exit your game to change your music track/change volume of the music anymore!
Some other updates are HDR support for ALL PS4s, data transfer via wired LAN connection, and new support for streaming that allows 720p 60fps streaming.

These changes can make your PS4 feel a little new again, but, if you want something more the PS4 Pro hits the shelves November 10th.

    Last Guardian Delayed... Again
According to Sony's Shuehei Yoshida, The Last Guardian was delayed further from an October release to a December release. Yoshida claims this delay is to give the dev team more time to iron out bugs in the game.

New Info on Kojima's new PS4/PC game Death Stranding
Kojima's strange new game is going to be in the "Action" genre AND be open world with a "degree of freedom". Kojima also claims the game will have online elements but not like what people currently thing when they here "online multiplayer". The fan favorite developer says there will be ways to connect to these "strands" but has yet to speak on how or what sort of interaction players will have.

    Ubisoft's re-release of Ezio
Ubisoft is not releasing a new Assassin's Creed game this year, but they are releasing an "Ezio" collection for PS4 and Xbox One. The collection will contain Assassins Creed II, Brotherhood, and Revelations with updated graphics and an $8 movie voucher to see the upcoming Assassins Creed movie directed by Michael Fassbender.

That's all I have for you guys today, but I'm sure we'll be getting more news the closer we get to the holiday season when developers and console creators start really pushing for more sales during the holiday season.

Open world games will always have a place in my heart. I'm hoping that all goes well with Kojima. He's been working hard for an incredibly long time!
