Monetizing Issue?

    I hope this comes to right part in the forums, but I've been noticing something rather peculiar issue. You see for some reason or another, ever since I switched Networks to MGN (well mostly before getting the Network issue I had that Alex fixed for me in the past), I've been getting this weird behaviour on Youtube when monetizing my videos. Normally I had it automatically on, but now on everytime I upload a video, I get this as default setting for my new videos and I have to set the monetizing option on every single time!

    Instead of "Monetize in all countries" option, it automatically goes to "Track in all countries" instead and making me to manually select monetizing option on myself. Is there way to fix this so I wouldn't have to worry about setting it on every time when I upload a video? Any help would suffice.

    Hi @Creng

    Just checked your channel in the CMS and monetization is enabled by default so there's no issue there.

    I've actually had this issue with a channel in the past, but was never able to understand why it chose Tracking before Monetization. Luckily it stopped defaulting to Tracking at some point and I never had the issue again. Maybe if you Google around for a solution, someone might have one out there.

    I had the same problem when I left my previous network, and after disabling it, uploading a video, then re-enabling it, it worked again. Now that I have switched from Freedom to MGN that trick doesn't fix it. So I am in the same boat as you. >.<

    @Satya & @GoldmadOfficial so basically we cannot do anything about it other than freedom/MGN have the settings for their monetizing settings. It would be great to have this issue fixed asap though :)

    @GoldmadOfficial Yeah I agree that is kind of weird. I also thought that I was the content owner myself too and freedom/mgn a tech partner too... hmm well I still like the idea that freedom & mgn are not like one of those networks that locks you in their network. Ever since I joined to freedom I felt more free than I was before on my old channel which basically locked me in their contract with no way out, resulting me to eventually end me to leave from my old channel. Not that I wouldn't want to abandon it but I wanted to start from clean table with my current channel back then. :)

    Monetization tab always disappears when your channel is linked to a CMS account thus cause freedom is using their Adsense account hence why they are deemed the "Content Owner" its a normal thing with the Monetization tab.

    But with the Monetization acting way its behaving lately might be cause of the effects of youtube gaming being made and youtube and google are most likely aware of the problems so its bugging out lately.

    @GoldmadOfficial For me it was some company which appeared as "AdRev" on my network on my old one. They can wait forever for new content for all I care. I have moved on now with my current channel and I'm staying there :p

    @MrDJSilva Even if that's the case, they should notice these flaws early and fix them. To be honest, I kind of miss good old Youtube back when it wasn't owned by Google.

    We all miss the old youtube however non of the things we have today wouldnt progress if google had step in and is more optimized so google and youtube to not get sued and partnership are a more open to people nowadays which is something i dont like personally however its a trend for youtube to grow more

    Nope, just filled in the forms to apply, waited a couple of days. Got into an argument with a customer service rep. Filled out google docs transfer request, Arlon replied and as far as im concerned, my account is linked in youtube settings page, I have accurate earnings from my channel and I am able to use music, from mainly epidemic using the freedom login button. I have also recently managed to dispute two videos where i found the music on the music partners sites. 2 of my most popular videos. I have no idea what i did differently guys and im sorry to hear you are having trouble but rest assured Alex and the team will have it sorted in a jiffy :)

    I notice us that dont have the green MGN badge dont have the issue @Alex perhaps this is the key factor?

    Well that's reassuring to hear that Alex and the team is working on it ^^ the most popular video on my channel has to be 17th episode of Tokyo School Life gameplay I did earlier. In fact all the videos in that series are my most popular one, but THAT especially has like 16k+ views.
