How to Promote w/o Spammin

Im still trying to figure this out as thier ways of doing so, all different. Keep in mind promoting without any content, or any good content will not make it any easier to promote your channel. ok now that that's out of the way. Step 1 is obvious you mightve seen it if watched youtube videos. Ads if you make a channel trailer you can promote your content through ads on youtube. you can choose which type of videos you put the ads on and how much money to spend on your ads and whe l where the ads show up. i believe its at least $10 to be able to do it then u divy up the money and choose your ad campaign. but if your not good at making traliers its even harder but you can just put any video as an ad in the recommended videos slot above the rest. But if its longer than a minute it cant be a video ad just a recommendation ad. Step 2: would be word of mouth this can be very slow an ineffective but if done right can be snowballed into something big like what you did with the giveaway. Granted it was a giveaway and not a channel but it can work. Step 3: telling your friends and family this is similar to #2 but if your family and friends love you then they'll maybe sub or at least watch. Step 4: Doing Collaboratives, one of the many reasons people on gaming channels have grown is because they have a "group" of other youtubers that so the same thing and if there group is funny they grow together and each of their audiences if they find you funny when doing coolabs will check out your channel. This can help out alot but time schedules,the consoles and games you have, and how compatible (or how many subs or old you are) determine if you can click with each other. Me and you are pretty much the same so like that but maybe they can have less stuff in common. Finding an exact you is hard so as long as there are some similar interests you should be fine. Step 5 giveaways, as you and i have seen, doing Giveaways for something retaining to your channel can help alot people like free shit and will flock to that but they probably won't stay or watch unless they like what you do and think you're awesome. Even if they dont leave ,after 6 months of not watching they will be undubbed automatically which might look bad if alot of people disappear at once. But if you do giveaways every few months people might stay. and can increase sub count if done right which can lead to more exposure and more people watching cause you have a higher sun count. Step 6 i hate this one with a passion, spamming so people can check out your channel but you leave these comments on other people's videos. This is wrong gets alot of hate and the worst part is it can happen to small channels cause people are lazy jerks. Yet its a hit or a miss and with any chance game peole are dumb enough to go check anyway. So it might happen who knows. Step 7 shout outs having other people shout out your channel is a good way to get promotion. Id they like whoever is giving the shout out then they trust that person the other person is good . we'll there might be more tips but im dizzy on my pain meds so ill talk to you in a bit. Thanks im glad you like it! Yeah the promo on others channels is wrong its like the avadakadvra spell from Harry potter. Its powerful, but frowned upon and people will not speak your name if you do because "WE MUST NOT SPEAK HIS/HER NAME!!!"
