So everyone knows tax time is around the corner and i usually invest some of it into my pc. I wanna upgrade my graphics card. I am currently using a 770 4gb edition and i want to get a decent upgrade and i am debating between the 970 and the 380x. I consider a 390x but i really have no need for an 8gb video card lmao.

It depends on what cpu you have, i have a 970 myself paired with an i7 4790k.
In my opinion this is a great combo as I can play most of the latest games maxed out in 1080p!
But it really depends on what games you wanna play / the resolution you wanna play at whether it's 1080p or 4k. Either way both graphics cards are great and future proof :)

Great card, big NVIDIA fan over here, try to look for a 6th gen i7 and you would not have to change anything for a few years, I recommend those ASUS NVIDIA STRIX OC :p.

Personally I would go with the r9 380x but I'm biased towards AMD
