Gaining Traction on YouTube

    Hello everyone.

Mr. Putrid here. Recently I've been having a lot of trouble gaining traction and gaining subs and views on YouTube. I have been losing subs and my analytics are about 35% lower this month than it was last month and about 40% lower than the previous month. I have more subs than I did back in those months but my views are just terrible recently. I personally feel like the quality of my videos have drastically improved since then but it doesn't seem to show.

I am asking for any and all help in this matter and a bunch of tips I could use to help me grow and get more noticed. I do know that recently I have kind of bottlenecked my channel by sticking to only Doom videos in the last like 3 weeks so I feel like that might contribute a little but it can't be the complete reason.

Let me know what you guys think and I would appreciate any and all help in the matter.

Below is one of my better videos and let me know what you think and what I can do to improve it.

You seem to be a very good youtuber, to improve it i would recommend mabye making a smaller intro. And even though it hurts me to say it, remove the MGN intro since you already have a main intro.
All your reactions make me more interested to continue watching, so personality and all that kinda drags me in atleast.
Seems like your problem just lies with people generally loosing interest. And tbh nothing can really fix that, atleast from what i know.

Thank you for your input. I was thinking of removing the MGN logo from my videos but its going to be a hard thing to do because I have grown to like it. I also get what you say about losing interest. That's probably the hardest thing for YouTubers, is to keep up the audience retention. I really appreciate the fact that you call me a very good YouTuber. It means a lot to me. Thank you. :)

Overall, your video was great. Maybe keep a short summary at the starting of your episode of what you'll be doing today and like Fakz said, shorten the intro.
To be honest, people may get bored seeing the same game again and again so, try some other game series.

I'm going to do that from now on. Probably cut out the intro all together now. I have been thinking of other games to do but nothing really peaks my interest too much. I'm waiting for Agony now.

I remember once my family members telling me that they like to watch my videos, but they don't have the time to watch a 30 minute video. I totally agreed with them and really only big YouTubers can post and not have to worry about who has the time and who doesnt, so they just post however long they need. Once I started making shorter videos, I noticed my views jumping up like crazy! While I still do upload longer videos (around the 10-20 min mark) I try to cut them down as much as i can :p

not bad at all the only thing really getting me is the thumbnail size i mean its an easy fix but usually the black borders are to much blank space the less blank space you have the more people can look at the thumbnail and get more out of it

I never actually thought of this. I do Let's Plays and I upload videos around 30-40 minutes long to help keep the LP going at a nice pace. I wonder what would happen if I shortened my videos

I've switched to a 20 min length myself on average. I haven't seen a view count change myself making the change. But I am pushing out more eps per recording session doing it. So depends on your goal.

Right now my two series are down to 1 view per ep which is making me wonder what changed. LOL

My suggestions are to shorten your intro and to have more commentary as you play.
    You have a GREAT voice!
Viewers like to hear if you rage or what your trying to do in the game and what your opinion is as you play.

Also, "Always leave them wanting more". Throw in some other games between episodes of your main series.
If you give them the same game everyday you take away the "suspense" and viewers get bored even if they love the game.

    I hope it helps.
    :)
