Just a question, Do I need to unlink Freedom! from my YouTube to join MGN or do I just request for transfer

No you don't, You just need to request the transfer which you can do here http://www.mgn.tm/transfer

As explained by @MrDJSilva you only have to fill the transfer form.

Then in the first week of the new month you will be transferred over. If there may be any problems along the way then don't hesitate to ask us
