NEWS Assassin’s Creed Origins

Assassin's Creed Origins appears to be the title of Ubisoft’s latest AC instalment being launched on PS4, Xbox One and PC later in 2017.

A single image has been leaked online, giving fans their first look at the project reportedly named Assassin’s Creed Origins.

The image shows what looks to be the main character navigating a river on a small boat, carrying a bow and arrow, as well as a shield.

It also features text in the top left, confirming a "Assassinate the Crocodile" mission, along with the following caption: "Follow Shadya to Khenut's villa."

For those wondering, Khenut was Queen of Egypt and wife of King Unas during the Fifth dynasty of Egypt.

Unas was the ninth and last ruler of the Fifth Dynasty during the Old Kingdom, who is thought to have built a pyramid in Saqqara, the smallest of the Old Kingdom royal pyramids.

His reign is thought to have lasted around 15 to 30 years in the mid-24th century BC, quite far in advance of anything established in the main Creed series.

Several sources have now confirmed that the leaked image and name Assassin's Creed Origins are real and are set to be unveiled later this year.
