Anyone Heard of Senran Kagura?

So this new craze which I am TOTALLY on board with centers around this lovely little video game series that has branched into manga and anime spinoffs recently. The series was developed by Tamsoft and produced by Marvelous Entertainment. All the games revolve around a group of female ninjas and each game is different in its own way. A TV adaptation was produced by Artland and aired in Japan in 2013, while an anime was licensed in North American by Funimation Entertainment and released in August 2015. In this video game series there are 7 North American releases total but 8 total games. However I only became aware of the series with the last three in the series. The names are Senran Kagura (hereby called SK) Shojo tachi no Shinei, SK Burst, SK Shinovi Versus, SK 2 Deep Crimson, SK New Wave, SK Bon Appetit!, SK Estival Versus, and SK Peach Beach Splash.

So I picked up the series at Bon Appetit, by a fellow friend and streamer that also likes rhythm games. Basically you pick a girl and go thru her storyboard, where you have 8 buttons that come in sequences to a song where you battle against a rival to progress in the story. Very interesting game, and the art.... well the art is full of Japanese anime TNA, the better you play the more you see kinda gameplay. Not all the games are like this but most the chars have stayed the same, some added some taken away. Bon Appetit come out in 2014, and SK Estival Versu came out in 2015, while upcoming soon is SK Peach Beach Splash.... Super excited to see where the series has come from and where its headed!!!

 

I have heard of the senran kagura series but I don't feel like it would be my kind of game I don't really want to lecture my parents to but me the game when they look it up
