If i f.eks sing a song for about 10-20 seconds in one of my videos as a funny plug. Would that break copyright rules?

as long as you don't play any part of the actual song you should be fine someone might correct me tho.I sing random bits and haven't gotten any. It also helps if you can't sing

Shit i can sing, but for my luck i was just kidding in the video "phew" But my friend sang at his best, and again luckily he cant sing

If you sing a certain part of a song then there is no problem. Copyright is more due to background music or the actual song if you use it without permission.
