How often do you get ''stuck'' in a gaming session?

(This is a copy-paste from a post i made on another forum)

In the aftermath of my 11 straight hours of dying light, i felt inspired to shitpost.

The point of this is to ask you, fellow people who do their best.
How often do you sit down and start gaming, only planning for a short session.
Only to get hooked and play for several hours and keep telling yourself, ''Just 5 more minutes''.

In my case, it rarely happens.
Mostly since your average AAA game is; ''LENSFLARE FPS TERRORIST SHOOTER SIMULATOR 2K1X''. (AKA Dudebro games)
(I'm gonna remove Rainbow Six Seige from that list though since it innovates a lot compared to the more Arcady shooters)
I will mostly just sit at my computer, Drink Tea, Browse Youtube, Browse Forums, Shitpost on said forums and play the occasional casual game for short sessions.

This ''Break'' from gaming can last for a month before i get back to it.
Mainly because, as i said, most big game titles have basicly flowed into the same demographic (Don't forget all the Season Passes) and sacrifice creativity for a broader demographic.

    But i digress.

How often do you get stuck in a game like this?
What's your opinion on the Dudebro demographic? (I have nothing against said demographic)
How do you feel about modern Triple-A titles sacrificing creative intuition over a broader demographic?

Bonus Question: How do you feel about Electronic Arts pulling back from E3 and telling the public that they are going to reform how they conduct bussiness?

I get sucked into games like that every now and then, mostly when I say i'm going to record some sandbox game only to start building and forget to record or only have boring footage lol.

On Dudebro, I have nothing against them, they have their opinions and preference I have mine (Which involve some of those games.)

AAA titles. I am conflicted in this one. I love all sorts of games whether it be a story driven game such as Life is Strange, sandbox games like minecraft or terraria, racing games like NFS or shooters like COD. I play a wide variety of games but a lot of people only like one or two types of games, (shooters and racing for example) so I think it's only natural that companies prefer to make one type of game over another, you think of activision what do you think of? COD is my first thought. companies are in it to make money and those games make money so I think its natural that they do continue to make these games until they stop making money. Although I would and do like more creative games I don't have the expectation of big companies that make games like COD to stop making them to make something else. That's why I like indie games a lot more just because they have the freedom to do whatever they want with their game, I mean someone made a game about a goat and it shot off like a rocket, I don't think many AAA publishers would have greenlit that honestly. Hopefully the way I put all that makes sense (Sounds good in my head lol.)

EA pulling from E3? To reform business things? Look around a pig might be flying! This could either be really good...or really bad.

I personally get stuck into games quite a lot, and it ends up being 10am on a Saturday and I haven't even thought about sleeping so yeah, it can be an issue, but I have fun during it.

A lot of times. I keep on forgetting the main reason why I opened up a game, which is to record, and begin playing the game for an hour or two until I realize what I'm supposed to do. XD

Happens almost every gaming session. When your comfortable and playing a game you look at th clock and think: Ow! Check the time and i have to work tomorrow better get some sleep!
But the moment that comes to mind a little voice says: hoe about one more race/mission/ect to end the day?
And you think: yea, why not....
    Suddenly 3H later....
