Network & Website Updates - July 2015

Hello gamers!

It's been a couple of weeks since my last update thread, so here's what we've been working on.

Forum updates:

• The forum now has over 200 community members!
• New users now receive a welcome message to help them get started.
• We now defer the code for embedded YouTube videos to get pages to load faster.
• Gamer profile support so users can link their YouTube, Twitch, Steam, Origin, Xbox Live, PSN, Minecraft, and League of Legends accounts: http://www.mgn.tm/forum/account/contact-details
• Sub-network application forms are now available: http://www.mgn.tm/forum/pages/network/

Network updates:

• MGN has added 500 partners over the past 30 days!
• We have signed 2 sub-networks under MGN...dedicated posts for each coming soon!
• We're adding the "Gamers" YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/gamers) to the MGN family and will be using said channel as our gamer community hub for all partner-submitted content.
• The MGN channel (http://www.youtube.com/mgn) will serve to show off the best content produced by MGN partners as well as shows produced by MGN staff.

Staff additions (please give them a warm welcome!):

• @RealSykes has recently joined us at MGN to help manage our social media accounts, run the Gamers YouTube channel, and provide any assistance to community members with questions.
• @Syiler and @james have joined us to help produce shows and manage partner content going up on the MGN YouTube channel.
• @Shihiro has joined us to manage our MGNWoW tournament for the month of July and will be helping to expand our reach within the competitive e-sports scene.
• @STG Swifty has volunteered to be our first forum moderator to assist community members with any questions and provide support when needed.

I also want to thank everyone in the community for helping make this first month as head of MGN a very joyful and memorable one! I think we're going to achieve a lot here together and I look forward to the coming months with all of you.
