Hello, friends, my name is Ranmaru :)

    I'm a new Let's Player and streamer on Twitch. Currently LPing Modded System Shock 2 and Portal Stories: Mel.

    My favorite genre's are Survival Horror and RPGs, and I try to sample indie games that catch my attention here and there, anything with a cool aesthetic and a good story hook me in lol

    Some of my favorite games include Silent Hill 1-3, Resident Evil 2, 3 and the REmake, Mass Effect, Deus Ex, Dragon Age, Dead Space, etc.

    Hoping to have a great time on this forum!

    And Resident Evil, Dead Space and Silent hill are indeed good Horror games. Have you ever played Condemned?

    I have played Condemned, both of them! I much prefer the first one over the second, honestly, the first one felt more visceral, gritty, like real detective-style survival horror. The second one was really different, focused too much on combat, the only scary part from what I remember was the cabin scene with the bear lol

    Indeed! Agreed with that :D
    I remember the store scene with those Dolls that scared the crap out of me haha. Always used to play that game with all the lights off and on the edge of my couch, the thrill that game gave is hard with the horror games fron these days. Outlast was one of those that was exciting but condemned is still one of the best in my opinion.

    Outlast was one of the scariest games I played in a long time, especially the Whistleblower DLC.

    Ohh? Haven't played the DLC :(
    They have to make more of those type of games, the P.T demo got me on the edge of the couch but when they told it got cancelled....
    Now if i'm not mistaken the kickstart project for Allison Road is actually a other company wanting to make a sort like P.T :D

    Yeah Allison Road looks amazing, it's the next best thing to what would have been Silent Hills.

    Alien: Isolation is awesome if you liked the Outlast style of horror. The first half is the same kind of hide and evasion style of gameplay, then turns into survival horror while still keeping the hiding aspect. I highly recommend it if you haven't played it yet.
