OBS or Dxtory for streaming PC games?

I only use OBS. I've been using it for the last year and a half. Great free software. I can't speak about Dxtory.

 

I like OBS, but as far as impacting your system that would depend on what hardware is inside your case and other installed software.

It's all down to personal preferance really, I have used both OBS and Dxtory but would still prefer to use Dxtory as I have been using it longer than I have OBS

 

OBS is defiantly the better streaming software, in my opinion, but if your computer cannot handle it, Dxtory may be better, I do not know.

 

I think Dxtory only does a RAWCAP capture. E.g. its doesnt encode ready for Twitch / Youtube. Correct me if im wrong but you still require third party software to stream with Dxtory?

 

^^ Correct you cant stream with dxtory. Dxtory is a capture software. OBS is both stream and local recording. Recoding wise You have the choice of OBS, Dxtory, Fraps (OBS is free so worth while and you can stream) Dxtory has some more option in relation to codec's than fraps.

 

OBS is a much better streaming software i have been using dxtory for around half a year and then i heard about OBS and i have now been using that for the past 1 year it is way smoother and better quality steaming recorder

OBS hands down. there is sooooo much you can do with obs it is crazy. go look up plugins for obs and you'll see what i mean. but they're mainly meant for streamers if i am not mistaken. I've never had any issues with obs but with Dxtory i can't figure it out. when i record games with it i always get black screens when i play back the video. idk maybe its just me.

One bestest streaming software is OBS yea, begause its free and easy to use.
A lot of gramers and streamers use OBS but one another good software is XPlit gamecaster which one i have used myself to.
But begause my computer aren´t perfect i cant steam.
OBS and XPlit is my opinion, somethinf for the.
