    Hello,

How many of you are streaming to YouTube and what are you using? Xsplit or OBS, or something else?

What is the stream delay like for you.

If using OBS, what do you have your settings at?

Sorry for the rampage of questions, I was trying to use OBS and the stream delay was about 14 seconds, that is pretty crazy. Its says verified for use with Xsplit, Wirecast and Elgato capture device. So I am assuming that they have better optimization and less delay.

Twitch is a bit easier to jump into and navigate but Overall YouTube should be better, most twitch streamers end up uploading videos and highlights to YouTube and Alot of the bigger ones have the same followers and subscribers, so why not just have it all in one place.

However, I can't get these setting right and a 14 second delay to communicate with whomever may be watching is not good. :/

The delay is actually a good thing if your playing with viewers or something so they cant stream camp you and just look up a obs tutorial video

I use OBS because I am convinced that XSplit makes your equipment run slower if you aren't a paying user.

OBS is awesome for what it is, but it can be VERY advanced. Look into every option. I do facecam, and at base settings, there was a horrible lag between my face and my words. Eventually I found the option (I'd have to find it right now, it's near theAdvanced settings if not in it), but I basically lagged my voice to my face. Weird, I know, but it worked out perfectly.

Really look into the options both XSplit and OBS provide. Do some research, so you fully understand your equipment and what it is you are using ^_^

I was able to figure it out from another post in here. But you are right, OBS is pretty advanced. Sure you end up having to find more plugins for certain things. Now if only we could get an in-game chat box, we would be good. lol

I use OBS to stream OBS multiplatform is also very nice both free (my issues come from recording obs sometime messes it up may have Frap nxt time). Twitch & YouTube

Twitch has all the back up the following and history. But having tried Youtube have to say I like what their doing just need more options easier interaction with audience, something as simple as knowing who is watching so you can say hi.

Youtube certainly runs smoother and from feedback i had from guys watching looks a lot better also. Just all to new at the moment but certainly growing. What i do like about it is that once you finish streaming you session is uploading. Hitbox never tried it.

You can monitor stream chat with popup's on game screen using 'trillian' very easy to setup also get an audio beep to hit your attention. https://www.trillian.im/

They all have delay it just varies, on youtube you can make use of the advanced setting optimize for lag or buffer this can bring the time down a little. But mo matter what software you use to stream you will never get a 'live as you stream' event
