(Solved) MGN Forums & Youtube Usernames

    Hi Guys,

    Since joining these forums I have noticed some problems regarding the setup of profile pages and was wondering if anyone at MGN can/will address these in the future:

    1) I have tried to use my member card as a signature but each time I try, although it will give me a preview, it won't save the setting? :anguished:

    2) As a newer channel without a user name, (which are no longer used by YT) there is no way for me to add my channel to my my MGN forum profile. Are there plans to amend the use of legacy only usernames to something we can all work with?

    3) Similarly to 2 above, when I enter my Facebook and Twitter usernames in my profile settings they are apparently not recognized and do not generate any links for my profile :confused:

    If anyone can shed any light on these points I'd be very grateful, thanks.

    I'm having same issue. It puts "user" before my channel name not "c". So when I click on it the channel does not exist. Just made it part of my signature.

    Hi @OldGeezerGamer,

    1. We have images disabled in signatures to cut down on site bandwidth, load times, and to keep threads relatively more clean looking. So though it will give you a preview, it will not actually save it.

    2. This is a known bug that should be addressed in the coming weeks. For now, best to follow @StewTheRPGer's suggestion and link it directly in your signature.

    3. The Twitter and Facebook links aren't added below your avatar in posts. This is just reserved for all of the inputs with icons associated. If users go to your profile, they will be able to see your Twitter and Facebook links.

    Thanks for the information Alex. :yum:

    I do have my channel in my sig already because I couldn't add it beneath my avatar but glad a fix for that is on the way. The member card is no big deal, I just noticed it didn't work but thanks for answering that one. As for Twitter & FB I didn't realize they wouldn't convert to URLs so I guess if required it's another signature addition.
