So I got some news that other day that I am a little late to, but am still very excited about.... Apparently Netflix has picked up a retelling of DeathNote and I cannot contain my excitedness. But looking up information on the Interwebs I found out some interesting stuff. Apparently Japan back in 2006 had made a live action movie based on the manga version of DeathNote, written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata, where there was one person who had the DeathNote Book then was stopped and the Notes disappeared, and then 6 notes resurfaced and three men were searching for them to control the world. There was even a sequel called Deathnote 2 The Last Name that was centered on a univeristy student acting on a whim to rid the world of evil that came out in 2008, and a sequel to that called Light up the New World that came out in 2008. Now here it is 2017 and Netflix is coming out with their own telling. My hype is for reals here.... They are telling this story centered on a college student that wants to rid the world of evil and also to become a human god, deciding who lives and dies. As he grows in power, a suspicious detective tries to track him down and stop him before he becomes unstpopable. The netflix version is directed by Alan Wingard, and writers Charley Parlapanides and Vlas Parlapanides alongside Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata..... I am so excited you wouldnt believe.... Set to release August 25 of this year!!!!

Update: I have watched the Live Action Deathnote and it is not as good as the anime, but def was entertaining to watch and told you most of the story from the anime in a quick fashion. They changed up some stuff though and I was unhappy, but knew it was necessary because they were doing a short version not the long drawn out one
