We are the Original Gamesters

Hi there!!

• We are the Original Gamesters. We call our little enterprise OGTV. I am the BOG (Big Original Gamester) and my 5-year-old partner and son is the LOG (figure it out). We are from Vancouver, Canada but are currently living in a little town up the BC coast.
• We found MGN through our membership with Freedom!, which we joined near the founding of our channel back in July, 2016.
• Besides our obvious gaming hobby, we also love skiing and other exciting, adrenaline packed activities like Go-Karting. LOG is too young and little for the diversity of sports I enjoy but he also loves soccer and swimming and wants to be a ninja. Lego is another big hobby of the LOG; my wife and I like it too. We're all starting to grow out of Thomas and Friends .
• I would say both of our favourite food is spaghetti.
• We started YouTube because it is something we both enjoyed watching, that we were both capable of doing one way or another, and after realizing YouTube's potential, it seemed like a realistic way to make a fun career change that I could carry around with us; we will be moving a lot over the next few years and construction won't work very well for me anymore.
• We run a Let's Play gaming channel and plan on adding some reviews in the future as well as some tech and Lego unboxing and building videos. Perhaps the odd fun personal-life video as well. I'd also like to make the odd informative video about things like SEO resources, OBS settings, our gaming set-up, etc
• We mainly make our videos about PC games but we also feature the Wii U console, and Android Tablet games.
• Favorite game or genre? Can't say. We both really love all kinds. There may be some that I don't bother with, like look-and-find games (except for the occassional brain-training). As for the LOG? Well, he hasn't even had a chance to try all the different kinds of games yet, especially since he is only just learning to read and do basic arithmetic.
• We "upload", on average, about once per day. I used to (like it was so long ago ) upload edited videos. It was a real struggle to get up to 3 a week done. LOG had to wait around. Things weren't getting done around the house. We weren't playing much. And that's when I didn't have to work. We're about to have a new baby in about a week so I have to go back to full-time work for the next few months or so AND help with the baby, house, and more so editing videos is just not a viable option for awhile. So for the next while we will be streaming 95% of our videos. The streams get recorded on our streaming platforms and they are our "uploads". We are certainly having a LOT more FUN this way too and we are interacting a lot more with our viewers now through live chats.

Thanks guys. I'm already very impressed with the poking around I've already done. I feel much more at home. Even the look of the site has me much more excited. It's like starting YouTube all over again.

Thanks. I've actually been on the Discord for about 3 months already though.

 

Everything's up, I think. Streaming lots. It's gettin easier and easier as we learn more. It's gettin funner and funner as more people are joining in on chat and we've done our first collabs and are meeting more people and playing more games. Finally did a video where I didn't censor myself. That was a blast, a good vennt, and drew our biggest crowd yet.
