The Game of Your Childhood

What is the game you think about when you think about your childhood?

Here's what I mean- when I think of being a kid, there's this one particular game I always think of. It was a 101 Dalmatians game, based off of the live action movie, and it was a point and click adventure game. Basically, it was supposed to be the video game that what's-his-face winds up releasing. You played two puppies attempting to break out of the mansion where Jaspar and Horace are keeping them all locked up, and you have to constantly be careful not to make too much noise. If you do, a timer started, and you had to hide before they came. One of my favorite parts was the fact that you had to set up traps for them to fall into.

This was around the time where gamefaqs wasn't a thing, so I had NO game guides- but I managed to one day actually BEAT that game all on my own. I think it was one of the first games I ever beat in my childhood, and it was pretty astounding. I couldn't believe I'd done it. So now of course, I always think of that game, and wonder if I'm making it out to be way cooler than it actually was. XDD

So what's the Game of your Childhood? If you didn't play video games, what games did you play? Meaning something other than video games obviously lul

Mine has to be Crash Bandicoot! Growing up during the very early 2000s I used to be Crash Bandicoot on my PS1 every night. Hoping a remastered version is in production.

The game I miss the most is an old Microsoft MS-DOS game - Close Combat. It was a world war 2 RTS that I played until I wore it out.

Another older game was on the Comodore-64 - Elite. A really horrible graphics space trading game.

I never did play those games, but all I ever hear about them is how awesome they were! I played Donkey Kong... something... It was a collector game. XD I used to be obsessed with it.

Oh wow!Those are some oldies! I love the idea of a space trading game. It just seems like such a cool idea for some really fun mechanics.

I used to play a mario game on my brother's gameboy. Legit Gameboy, not advanced or color haha. It was so HARD, I never got very far in it XD

Oh boy. Well. There's not really one game that does this for me. rather a plethora of older games. I grew up playing Elder Scrolls Arena and Daggerfall, Warcraft and Warcraft 2. On console it would have to be Spyro and Zelda

Final Fantasy or Resident evil would be my childhood. My brother used to play #7, and I happened to grab #8. I always ended up getting lost though, hah.

These are all such great responses! I remember my brother had an old school gameboy, I used to play Super Marios on that. I was absolutely GARBAGE at it though. XDD

I didn't play Resident Evil until I was much older, I think the 4th one was the first one I ever played... and I couldn't get past the first cottage, like I'm talking first 2 minutes of the game, because I was too scared TTOTT

My childhood game would have to be Kingdom Hearts. Ever since I played the first game on the PS2, I've been in love with the series. I've played nearly every game since and I'm excited for the release of Kingdom Hearts 3 next year.

The game of my childhood would have to be Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. I remember playing this game with my sister and I remember beating the game a whopping 10 times!

The game of my childhood...hmm, Sonic 2 on my sega genesis. Megaman. Crash. Jak and Daxter as well as Ratchet and Clank were all games of my childhood.

I think that the game i think about is definatly Super Mario. Just in general, its either that ok Pokemon those were the only games i really played as a child.

Adventure on the original Atari, but the one that I liked the most was The Elderscrolls 2 Daggerfall I had 1000 hours into before I realized that I completed 2% of the main questline.
