Hey all, the beautiful mgn family, full of enthusiastic gamers!
A lot of people have been asking me how I reached 800 subs so fast so I decided to let you know through this thread.
All these tips were from the George show and The EposVox series from freedom! and some of my own. But since those videos are far apart, I'd like to summarise these basic tips.

    Titles and thumbnails

These are the first two factors that the audience see that gives an idea to them of what this video is going to be about. Make your title short and simple, easy to understand. Try searching up on the search bar, some starting words and try making your title according to the first couple of search options.
Get a decent thumbnail. Consider hiring a gfx artist (for eg. Zire, you can meet him in the discord chat). The thumbnail should be attractive, good enough to persue another person to check your video out

    Intros & Startups

Try to put your majority of efforts on the first 10 seconds of your video. You may put an intro after the introduction of the video, I.e. Telling what this video refers to or what it answers, etc. Try not to keep long intros. Intros don't play an important role in convincing the audience.

    Content

Comsider doing a research on days when you are free, to find out the current trends of videos and what type of content the audience wants to see. For instance, gamplays of games that are still in closed beta. New games are the best to showcase as there are less videos of them and your content will appear at the top of its searches. Try to prevent doing constant giveaways, it brings in inactive subscribers unless, you are a giveaway channel.

    Trailers

Consider making a good trailer for your channel, this helps people know which games you play and whether your channel content matches their interests. And again, concentrate on your first thirty seconds.

    Upload frequently

The more active your channel will be, the more faster it will grow. People usually have a bearing strength of one week to wait for the next video to be uploaded. Try your best to upload Atleast one a week.

So I hope this has helped you!

    Regards,
    Ryan smith

I don't mean to well.. sound mean.. but take it as constructive criticism if you will.

For one who is speaking of growing his channel via content uploading and through thumbnail usage, you need improvement in both of those aspects.
Your Thumbnails and Banner look like paint creations with no hardship put into them that's going to appeal to the eye, and with a monthly upload, I'm not sure too many remain attentive to you.

I just think this post is incredibly ironic.

    Hey arma!
Thanks for the feedback, I have great respect for i never mentioned about my thumbnails, I agree that they are poor tbecause I haven't done any work on them, but. I just explaimed few important points to follow t the community, I only followed few and reach a great point and if I implement these new changes, I have no doubt their will be a drastic growth in my channel. By the way, I was pretty much very active in the past, and now I have slowed down due to my college.

    Again, thanks for the feedback.
Now, may I request you to suggest what else a youtuber can do to improve his channel. don't look at my channel now, just think what else one could do. Something helpful ?

All the things in this post are most likely things he already knows he needs to do. A game plan. I would assume he goes to work or school and has no time for a YouTube channel. You can do YouTube as a hobby you know... lol

Thank you for not taking it in a negative manner. :)

-- As for growing your channel:

Post on newly uploaded videos from your subscriber section:

As far as I'm concerned this is a pretty big one. Always post on newly uploaded videos. I'm not saying advertise your channel, but be active on newly uploaded videos by subscribers. Don't aim for large channels such as Pewdiepie, but aim for people with 10k+ Subscribers where the comment section doesn't fill up instantly. Point is, if you're active on a channel and people see you frequently they'll be tempted to check out your channel and see if you have any content. I do this often and it's helping my channel grow.

    Collaborate!

Seriously. This is a pretty big one too. Say you're a channel with only 50 Subscribers and you're collaborating with a channel with even 500. That's going to help you tremendously. So-long as people enjoy your presence, people are going to be tempted to go watch your videos and will likely subscribe to you. I've seen channels go from 5000 slowly growing, and as soon as they collaborate they jump to 12-13000+. It's incredible what collaborating can do for your channel.

I'm sure I could think of more.

A nice summary thank you for Sharing, Ryan! I would just like to add, a good way to know if your video types are doing well is the analytics as you'll be able to see what videos are under performing and which are doing well and then you can cater your videos to fit a similar style as the successful videos.

The most basic ways in growing your channel is trough networking. Uploading frequent, titles, thumbnails is all part of the basic things you need to do.

Networking on the other hand is something else, many people just advertise their link but that is not how you get the ball rolling. Show interest in the works of others, collab with those who play the same games, get to know the community.

This. So much this. So many people think just being somewhere with a lot of people and dropping a link will net them views/subs but it honestly wont. Not very quickly anyways. As a good friend once told me, if people see you a lot and hold you in good esteem they are way more likely to click on a link you drop somewhere besides just being a nobody and dropping links everyday.
