George Is Selling Freedom For $60 Million!

So much for being able to trust George when he said he would never sell Freedom! In fairness I guess it is not Freedom he is selling but rather Any.tv which is Freedom's parent company. It is funny though for someone preaching full transparency I haven't of this sellout from him or anyone else at Freedom. Wonder if this is the big news coming in a "month... month in a half" mentioned in a couple videos.

Actually he did. He sold 51% of any.tv to a Chinese investment firm. That means George no longer has control of any.tv, who owns Freedom, hence George no longer has control of Freedom.

We can hope. Problem is being owned by an investment firm is worse than being a publicly traded company and having to answer to shareholders. Investment firms, for the most part, are very much profits only driven. If something doesn't turn a profit fast enough they will either kill it off or chop it up. Just look what happened to SOE when they were bought out by Columbus Nova.

 

I have watched the video. I also know what "majority control" means. There is a reason that a company asks for 50.01% ownership. It is not a random number pulled from the sky. Some have eluded that this deal may have put George on the board of directors of AID Partners giving him a vote on any major decisions. If this is the case, however, it has yet to be made public.

I would also like to clarify that I don't think this is inherently a bad thing for Freedom. The injection of cash and resources could be very beneficial. After doing some research into AID Partners I'm very impressed with their portfolio. A portfolio that includes, among other things, 2 mobile gaming/app companies and Legendary Entertainment (Legendary Pictures and Legendary Television). This quote from one of their company's especially intrigued me.

"In addition, the Company is establishing a video-on-demand (VOD) App and plans to provide high quality and exclusive film and TV contents to hardware manufacturers."​
