    Hey fellow Gamers!

Most of us all have a nice looking Channel trailer on their Youtube channel but there are also some who don't...
Now to help out these people lets share our experience!

How did you make your channel trailer, wich program did you use and what fragments or music?

Since i am not a pro i made mine with Moviemaker wich is basic i know :p

But that aside for my channel trailer i used various gameplay fragments from my content with a visual blur out effect when the next fragment starts. To finish it i used a nice NCS related song.

My trailer begins with a intro and then flows over into a fragment from my main game (FFXIV) wich is about 10 seconds. After this flows over into a different game i covered and then back into a fragment from my main game. This continues for some time until the trailer is done with the purpose to show my variety but also lay the focus on what my channel mainly is about :)

Share your experience and maybe we can gain some ideas to use :D

What I did in my channel trailer was made it fun and appealing while also showing what I post on my channel :D

That's in a way what I did. I made a sort of silly introduction of myself then jumpcutted to some gameplay from my previous videos with some feel good music. I'm pretty happy with it.

I don't have one but I'm planning on making it a compilation of fun clips from my gameplay videos, with a fun, quirky voiceover people may enjoy; as well as the description pretty packed full of information people will surely enjoy.

Thanks everyone for the response, up till know i notice we all have the same method wich is use some gameplay clips along with music wich is great of course :)
But even though we may have similar ways there are still some things from the comments wich just give that little own unique twist to someone's channel trailer wich is fun to read :)

Personal opinion. I think the best and most efficient way is to keep it short and to be yourself!

I like trailers that are short, sweet, and possibly a collection of best moments. SOmething that starts with a bang that gets everyone's attention and makes them want to see what else there is.

I guess a good trailer for someone like me that does horror games would be a scream-montage. Start the video off with screams, and people are going to be like WHOA what was that? And a cool way to edit it might be making the screams match up with like, Ode to Joy. That'd be freaking hysterical haha.

    ...

*cough* I might go edit that together now.

Its not really a unique idea, but I've always enjoyed a good intro with a montage of all their videos so I know what their channel is about

I think a good channel trailer, should in general be something highly edited with alot of work put into it!
The channel trailer itself should signify what you channel stands for and also give some eksamples for it!
It should be entertaining to watch the trailer so people will stick with your channel just because of the trailer.

But overall to make a good channel trailer, just edit in alot of what your channel is about and make it sound amazing, mabye even more amazing then it already is!

I think all the suggestions are really good.
The main purpose of the trailer is to give the viewer an idea of what your channel is about, and to "sell" your channel
to that first time viewer, AND to do it in about 10 seconds.

    Boobs, it's gotta have boobs!

In all seriousness. I think a short trailer showcasing who you are, what makes you unique, and what you post is a good trailer. 1-2 minutes preferred, nothing longer.

Your channel trailer is supposed to be a trailer not a video, so try to explain what your channel is about in the first 10-20 seconds of the trailer. I also like to use clips of games and videos i record :p
