Stuck in a rut :/ any suggestions?

Since I'm new to this community and I have a bigger problem - getting subscribers and views at all, I think that I can tell you some things that I know. I will be happy if those things help you. So, the first thing that might help you is clickbait titles. It sounds horrible but that's what almost all big youtubers use to get the attention of their subscribers/fans all the time. You won't ever see a title like "Name of the game - Gameplay". You will see "THE MOST HILARIOUS THING EVER" "I ALMOST DIED" "THE CRAZIEST THING EVER" etc. So that clikbait title must get the attention of the person and to make him watch your videos . I saw that you use social media, you have intro, outro. Your editing is great and the audio is at a good level. The things that I feel kind of strange about is the text in the thumbnail. You are doing very good thumbnails but what you can improve is making the text bigger because no one will just look closer to see what it says. They will just scroll down and open the first video that they see with a clickbait title and thumbnail that makes them think "Ohhh, look at this. It might be a good video. Let's see if it is worth it." And that way you'll get more attention and when your content is good you will get more subs and views. Otherwise, you have a great channel. Just for 5 month to have that big of a success give me hope for my channel as well. Anyway, I hope that I helped you

 

Maybe set up some collaborations, and cover other games to reach other audiences (whilst continuing your current games, and if you're comfortable doing it). Maybe swap some games getting fewer views than others out for new ones?

 

Youtube is a strange world, from my own experience i grow in spikes. Sometimes my channel is stuck at the same count for months and then suddenly it starts to grow again. Youtube is a live community wich changes by the day.
Things that are of interest today are scrap tomorrow for example.
I wouldn't worry to much about the fact that your stuck at the moment and continue with what your best at. Since you have grown quite good in the last couple months there sure is audience for your content and will continue to come as time passes by

Have you thought about making a trailer for your channel, if not maybe add a video to it that shows what they can expect.

 

I have the same problem, but I decided to cut parts from different series I had done in the past and call it a trailer. There is a better way, for example talking over it, telling the future audience what games you usually play, then show a cut from each game etc.

 

Just remember that in your trailer you are selling a product... the time producing that product is irrelevant it is a space advertisers can hang ads, though you should not monitize your trailer since you do not want an ad to get in the way of people learning who you are.

But you have to believe in yourself and not worry about numbers. Remember what you're doing it all for and have fun with it. It's really cliche an it might not be what you want to hear, but if you keep worrying about the growth of your channel and audience, it'll end up bringing down the quality of your videos.

 

Don't really think it helped, then again the one I made isn't good. I just cut videos and mashed them together, I didn't edit in voice-over telling new potential subscribers what I generally do on the channel.

My brain melts when I'm making a trailer so it never gets "done".

 

Viewers are slowing down since many schools are starting.
I think finding the best time to upload for your viewers is important.
Looking at your best viewing times in youtube analytics might help.

 

I just came across your post. I was just wondering if you might be interested in doing a collab of sorts. I don't do many multiplayer games. So can't offer to do a split video. I can, however, add you to my recommended channels list, Sir Jaxxy's Hit List (might change the name) in exchange for being added to yours. My channel is still small because I took a year and a half off and am just now starting back up.
