I have a bully on YouTube and Twitter... Help

My advice is contact YouTube Support as YouTube is American Company it falls under the Cyber Bullying Rules and believe me company's do take it seriously as there was case of bulling / harassment with my girlfriend and the game company took swift action with the evidence in hand so talk to YouTube and I sure someone senior in MGN can sort it out for you but my advice is hand it all to YouTube directly

 

unfortunately the internet is strange place and YouTube is no exception to this wish best luck to get this resolved

 

I too have had my share of haters and trolls. I just thanked them for watching my video taking the time to comment. Even if they do say mean and hurtful things they are just words and sometimes you just have to brush it off your shoulders and keep on moving forward.

I understand your mom contacted YT and Twitter about this person. The only problem I see is that even if their account is closed they can still open another one and start it all over again. Now if you could get their real name and talk to the police about cyber bullying charges then that might scare the them into changing their ways.

Don't let this keep you from your dreams and I hope everything works out for you..

Personally, I'd just block this person because they're clearly just salty Just keep on rolling and soon haters won't affect you!

 

This cases are very annoying indeed and i had the same problem a couple days ago.
First i would suggest you block this person from your youtube and twitter account so he won't be able to contact you anymore. If it may happen that you will recieve dislikes and comments then adjust your youtube settings where comments need to be approved before they are visible for the public. As for the dislikes you could hide the likes/dislikes from public untill this has passed.
In sense of dealing, best is to ignore these type of people. There will always be people trying to get your off your feet but stay strong and keep doing what you love

 

The good old report button is very useful for this situation, plus in the comments section you can block anyone you don't want leaving comments on your videos.

Sadly you will get this sort of thing

there is a big difference between constructive feed back and being just down right horrible to people. its something everyone has had and will have again in the future.

just ignore it. if you are getting more positive feedback you have nothing to worry about

You have to try and not let it get to you. That's when they win. Every successful video maker is going to get trolls, use it as motivation to keep going, and that you're doing something right.

 

I see this on a daily basis, just ignore it and use it as fuel to motivate yourself to create good videos. Don't let trolls bring you down. Every youtube content creator has trolls. Just ignore them and you'll be fine.

I think you'll get this kind of stuff on the Internet from time to time no matter what you do or say, my opinion is that if this person has to go after a kid anonymously on the Internet to feel tough, he's not very tough at all. I've been lynch mobbed (once for accidentally saying DICE, not Viceral, created BF Hardline - usually really small things like that) a few times in YouTube comments. I always reply calmly, never send insults back or get angry, and discuss any argument with facts and do so calmly - like I would with a stranger I met on the street in real life. It really does come down to being the better person. And if you ever need to, just switch off your PC for a while and take a walk.

Hold your head up, report and block if you need to, stay cool and calm, and keep improving and more importantly enjoying what you do!

 

Hi PrettyKoolCat. I can see that you are getting a lot of good advice from people here on MGN, and for the most I have to agree. But no one is talking about what the Like/Dislike mean. So let me say it like this. I know that we all wanna have more like then dislike, but the thing is that they really don't mean anything, the best thing about getting dislike is that someone out there are taking the time to look at your video and hitting the dislike button. I always say in my videos that people can hit the like if they like it or the dislike if not. It's all traffic going to your youtube, so it all good. Now if you get to a point where you have 100000 dislike and 1 like, then you need to take action. But a dislike here and there is really a good thing. About everything else good to hear that your mom is taking actions agains the person. And love your videos keep up the good work!
