    Hello guys,
I'm having quite a big problem recording my game videos using pc programs (with OBS) because my actual pc is not very good and it slows my gameplay a lot.

So I was wondering if its there some kind of hardware that records your pc screen without slowing it, like a video recorder for a videogame console.

Thank you for your help :)

Have you looked into bandicam? I use it and I have to say it works great. My friends also use it who don't have the best of computers and it's also free to try out so you can see how it runs.

Due to your specs id say try using aye Elgato Capture Card HD if you're budget allows, And in theory should stop the sluggish that you are experiencing as Elgato's use a HDMI pass through plus if you use the Elgato HD60 Pro will use less resources on the computer for capturing aslong as you meet the software requirements which are

    • PC: Windows 7 SP1 (or later), 4 GB RAM, built-in USB 2.0 port
    • Mac: OS X 10.9 (or later), 4 GB RAM, built-in USB 2.0 port
    • 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (or comparable)
    • Stream Command: 2nd generation Intel Core i7 CPU (i7-2xxx or comparable) Windows 7 or later

And personally id used elgato cards for awhile now and they are perfect for capturing and also it future proofs yourself just in case you want to record on consoles in the future :)

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I wasn't allowed to reply to threads for some reason.

Yeah after looking at your PC specs it seem like you're using a laptop to record your gameplay.

I agree with MrDJSilva Elgato Game capture 60HD would help keep your gameplay from slowing down your PC.

Let us know how it works.

Yeah I'm using the older Elgato and I hate their software so I use OBS Multiplatform for all my recordings.
