Hey Guys, I run a very small YouTube channel that i think has good quality content and i feel like its good enough to get some more views... but i only get around 15 views on most of my videos and i just don' know what i'm doing wrong... i feel like i'm missing a crucial part in my channel that will get people to watch me. If anybody could help id really appreciate it. If you help ill try to help you as much as possible in return if needed or wanted. thank you.

I have a very new channel too so I sympathize with your frustration and I'm hardly in a position to say "this is what worked for me" bearing in mind my most viewed video still has less than 100 views.

However, I do know a bit about SEO from my past online ventures and I think this is something that many YouTube users just don't understand. YouTube is a vast site and a huge search engine so your content is vying for attention alongside literally millions of other users, and millions of hours of video :anguished:.

The secret, as with any website, is getting traffic to your videos - no traffic means no views, no comments, no subscribers and no revenue of course! There is no magic bullet I'm afraid. The harsh truth is that no matter how good your content is, it counts for nothing if nobody can find it.
This is a problem that we all face, along with all website owners, bloggers etc.

This link will give you some really good information and tips about how YouTube ranks videos and a lot of pointers on how you might be able to increase the search visibility of your own. It's written by people with far more expertise than me. Some of it you may already know, some you may not but hopefully the information will help. You just have to be prepared for a lot of hard work, trial and error and testing I'm afraid.

Good luck with your channel, keep on keepin' on

It takes a lot of work and lots of self promotion outside of just creating videos. Sometimes you get lucky and you create a viral video or semi viral video that happens to be shared by someone on top of the food chain and you grow (like I did) but without promoting yourself even that eventually dies down (like I didn't do lol) Grow your social media sites by adding and reaching out to people who create or enjoy similar things as your channel, comment on videos similar to yours with relevant and unique comments. If you play specific games regularly join discussion boards and forums for those games. Despite the most common advice you see here, it doesn't matter how many videos you upload per day, how great they are edited, or how fast you talk in an excited overly energetic manor (i'm sorry but I hate that gaming persona and MGN demands that from us to be featured), if you don't promote yourself growing is extremely hard.

Also what everyone else above has stated about keywords, titles, and thumbnails, they help get traffic as well. Quality of videos will sustain your subscribers and interaction and be unique and likable. Best of luck to you!

I suggest checking out the channel Alloy Seven. He is a fellow gamer and excellent source on how to run your channel.

The key is gettong your name out there.
The usage of social media plays a huge part in things like this. Promote yourself trough Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Forums, Websites and comment on other people's channels by giving feedback on their content wich could lead them checking your content.

You think that's bad, I have 3180 subscribers and majority of my videos get like 100 views MAX.

Honestly, I haven't mastered this part down- I'm struggling with it too. Some of my videos go viral- like a recording I did of me reading a creepypasta called "Abandoned by Disney", it has literally 80,000 views I have NO IDEA WHY- and most of my videos are around 20-100 views. I think hoenstly it depends on your content and the ever-changing preference of viewers.

Example: Dark Souls III comes out, you start doing videos for that game, views SKYROCKET. You go back to your normal videos, and views plummet.
    or
Everyone's doing Undertale, you wait a couple months, you do Undertale, and views are a little higher than normal but not by much.

    And then there's time.
You're uploading 15 minute unedited videos, but Markiplier and Pewdiepie are uploading 5 minute montage heavily edited videos. SO no one is interested in ful Let's Plays or unedited videos at the moment.

It's partly, as far as I can tell, kkeeping up with the trends of larger youtubers. I've been fighting lethargy lately, so I'm back to not really editing my videos and just uploading max 10 minute vids of full plays, so that's probably why my views are down. Try and keep up with the larger trends, and it's possible your views will jump up to way more.
