I see in the videos that MGN helps me grow my channel. There are videos and diagrams that show growth but its never explained how.
My question is, how exactly does MGN help me grow? Is it through networking on the forum? Does MGN actively promote us?

MGN offers a variety of tools to help. An example is Tubebuddy and the free music available like Epidemic Sound and Position Music.
Besides that the new forum system wich you earn XP to level up and get exclusive perks.
Furthermore by networking on the Forums and finding those who share the same interest you can collaborate or make a party to grow together.
More features are coming in the near future so keep an eye out for the updates.

With this i hope your question is answered :)

    Thanks for your response TwilightPrinze.

I can't find any info in my dashboard regarding TubeBuddy. I googled it and found that they ave 4 different levels with one being free. What level does MGN offer?

I don't know if I would want to use the music provided. My reason behind this is what happens if I leave MGN. I would assume I'd need to change the music in the videos because I'm not under the MGN umbrella for licensing.

I have been to this link http://www.mgn.tm/forum/threads/feb-1st-exp-levels-shop.3829/ and it looks good for sure. It says with points I earn for posting on this forum and commenting on the MGN YouTube channel I can buy rewards. I know that post is really new and the store has nothing in it yet but I'm excited to see what will be there.

I guess my main question is does MGN actively promote its partners? Or is it more of a meeting place for like minded people to get together and help each other?

MGN is the sub-network under Freedom and Tubebuddy has a detailed post on the main Freedom Forum forums explaining you get full acces as long as your partner.

Regarding the music you are right, the moment you unlink with the network you aren't allowed to use the music anymore.

For the promotion question MGN as well as Freedom offer help trough the community and tools to grow. Besides that there is the spotlight where members are given a shout out on the Freedom channel where people are chosen for random.

As for actual growth you have to work for the main part yourself as the network only provides support by means explained above.

If you have further questions feel free to ask :)

Networks like freedom and it's sub-networks (MGN) Don't promote you as in constantly tweet or make videos about you (unless you get lucky or win something.)They give you the tools to grow but it's up to you to use them.
