Youtube Goals for 2016!

What are your youtube goals for 2016? Don't be afraid to shoot high, and don't be afraid to say something you know you may not reach- go unrealistic! Allow yourself to dream a little- it may push you to work even harder!

As for me, my goals are the following:

1. Go up 1500 subscribers- so far I've been solid in the last two years going up 1000 subs each year. I would like to boost this by at least another 500. But hell, unrealistically, I'd love to gain at least 2000 subs this year.

2. Write a youtube anthology of songs all about youtubers. I have written a song about Markiplier and a song about the Yogscast in the past (Mark has not seen said song). I'd like to start putting out even more this year.

3. Comlete a game (as in complete making a game) and display it on my youtube channel.

4. More livestreams! At LEAST once every two weeks.

5. Become a little more professional when meeting other youtubers. I met Egoraptor last year and that was embarassing. I'm the most socially awkward pesron ever when meeting "famous" people. I did fine with RoosterTeeth, so I don't even know what happened there.

6. Do more youtube tutorials. I actually get a pretty good turnout from my tutorial videos, but they also somewhat rely on me. Which is a really nice feeling.

7. ACTUALLY STICK TO MY DAMN UPLOAD SCHEDULE. I mean I upload on time every single week, but MONDAYS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE HORROR GAMES, Wednesdays are fine and whatever, I upload anything I want on Wednesdays, BUT FRIDAYS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FANTASY GAMES. This week alone I uploaded a Contagion video on Monday and Wednesday... Which actually makes sense so IDK why I'm complaining whatever.

8. Finish the playthroughs of games I've started in the past. I have a good collection of finished LP's, but damn, I've got way more unfinished ones. Games I want to finish:
Ori and the Blind Forest
Vampire the Masquerade
Penumbra (this one is on hiatus due to technical stuff though)
Half Life (this is almost 4 years of not being finished)
Corpse Party 1996
Nancy Drew
The four visual novels I started and never finished
Plague

I mean there are even more than that. It's kind of sad actually.

1) To be consistent. 4 videos/month starting March.
2) Get atleast 500 subscribers by the end of the year.

I think those are some great goals! I definitely feel the schedule thing. I always have problems sticking to them.
My goals for 2016.

One was 100 subs by my birthday in June but this last month alone I've jumped up from 50 to 75 so now I'm going for 150-200 by june.

Keep with my schedule, it's hard cause I often play sandbox games where that have a lot of editing needing to be done so getting those games on their respective days is hard, especially since I've been playing a lot of indie games that I want to make videos for lol.

Start a podcast with some friends. We've been talking about starting one for about a year but never got around to it. I just want to do a few episodes to see how it goes.

For me the goals for 2016 are

- To reach at least 500 subscribers.
- get to 50K overall views
- Complete my playtroughs i am currently working on as i hop to much from one game to another...
- Stay consistent with uploading daily and maintaining this
- Hope to get some more experience and improve my channel regarding thumbnails and such
- And last to reach my viewers more and get more social to recieve more comments

My 2016 goals are:

* Reach 2,500 subscribers (currently 573).
* To get a total of 250,000 views (currently 107,000).
* Make at least 5 videos that surpass 10,000 views (I had 3 videos that did this in 2015).
* Stick to a consistent upload schedule: 3-4 videos per week.
* Rebrand my channel with more consistent, professional looking branding.
* Collaborate with another YouTuber and start a regular (fortnightly or monthly) podcast.

Goals for 2016:

Reach 1000 subscribers this year

Get 500,000 total views

Complete my ongoing series for consistency

Series like Legend of Grimrock II, Subterrain, or Throne of Darkness which has turned into a never-ending series on my channel.. yet popular?

Collaborate more with the group I play with weekly

Make my dogs bark less during recording (I got 7 dogs..)

After 1st March I'll have lot of 'free' time again (i.e workplace shutting down)
So this is a good chance to bring more content to my channel and get some goals.
Hopefully I get better at editing videos, like take out boring parts where it isn't needed.

How did I not see all these cool, exciting responses? You guys have loads planned for your channels, it's very exciting! How's everyone goals going? We should all do updates so we can see where everyone's at with their list! It might be super uplifting to see how close you get over time!!

Schedule wise I have been doing great so far! only missing days occasionally and i've been keeping up with series uploads as well as one offs.

Growth wise I may have vastly overestimated my growth rate haha. I'm Still shooting for 150 subs by June but I'm Not gonna get too worked up about making that goal.

Podcast is still in the think tank, looking at equipment we need for it.

Awesome! I'm glad to hear the schedule is looking good, that's one of the most important parts of youtube. I've recently managed to break down my schedule into vlogs on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and horror games on Monday, Random games on Wednesday, and some kind of Fantasy game on Friday. Don't you just LOVE broad umbrella terms like Fantasy? XDDD But yeah, my lovely Potatoes (I swear to god it's what we call ourselves it's fantastic) took to the schedule with great excitement, which is awesome.

As for hitting subscribers, I agree, don't get worked up about it. It's my biggest source of depression, despite my insane growth. I'm at 3000, which is a far cry from my hope of 4500, but it's so far ahead of where I was 2 years ago. Over the last two weeks, however, I've gone up maybe 20 subs, which for me is like... Super disheartening. I usually get about 100 subs a month, so this is like... WHYYYYY.

I'm thinking I need to spice things up again- every so often I make a video that just goes "viral". My last one was a reading of Abandoned by Disney, it skyrocketed in views. Maybe I'll do more audio readings/creepypastas.

And tangent, sorry about that. It's 150% on my mind ALL the time TTOTT Basically, views are the source of depression, and so are subs. I try not to look at numbers...

I had the schedule thing like that but I just kept having issues with what I want to record along with new indie releases lol. So I'm trying to keep it at 2/3 named days but the rest are a potluck lol. Thats awesome, Lovely Potatoes, I love it!

Yea I kinda hit that realization with the sub thing haha, I'm still going to be pushing to the 150 by june to have the big goal to aspire to reach.

Maybe you should, I haven't heard of many of those, sounds interesting!

Alls good lol. numbers are good when they are high...not so much when low. Fine line haha.

My main goal by end of 2016 is to hit 500 subs if possible. I'd set other goals but right now I'm doing YouTube video's around work and RL.

Throwing out an April update, I reached my goal of reaching 100 subscribers...then 3 people unsubscribed lol, back to the grind!

The podcast is a go and we're just trying to get a schedule setup to record every couple weeks!
