People Spamming Sub4Sub

    Has anyone else been getting spammed recently in the comments section. Luckily YouTube marks them as spam automatically so they don't show up on the videos. I've just been getting comments like "Love your content and I subbed you so sub me" It's kinda funny cause they don't even try to hide it :p I used to get hardly any and now I get like 4-5 a day. Anyway that's it, I just wanted to know if anyone else has been getting it. Thanks!

    I used to get them. But like you said, they go in my spam comments section. It is annoying, but I do understand their intentions. But still, not cool when you're live streaming and someone drops in on your chat, leaves a sub for sub comment for their channel and then leaves again. That's when I ban their YT handle :smiley:

    Yeah it's really demotivating aswell when you think someone has commented but it just turns out it's spam

    I know what you mean. But after a while you get used to it. Just got to keep on doing what you do to make your channel grow. I hardly get comments on my videos after they upload. All my action happens in chat while I'm live streaming. Those count as comments.

    I always try to tell people that if they want to do that in the comment section, they REALLY need to respect the youtuber they're commenting to. Watch their video. It's incredibly disrespectful to try to pick up on their community when these channels aren't even leaving their own piece in the comment section. Always give before you take. That's my policy.

    But thank goodness for youtube's spam system right now, they're really trying on that front. I've had some haters come in and try to be like "YOU ALL NEED TO KNOW WHO SHE REALLY IS" and copy paste that message on at least fifteen videos. Youtube spam blocked every single one of them. I was beside myself with glee haha

    You are correct. I try really hard to not let the stupid comments bother me while I stream. I usually turn comments back around to the person who typed it. Works pretty good, if you ask me :)

    Kill 'em with kindness, I always say. How do they respond to "I love you too bebe"? XDD I actually got a couple of followers once because I just kept responding back to them with syrupy sweet responses. Eventually they just started laughing, turning their comments around to match mine, and in the end whatever we'd been fighting or arguing over was forgotten. ^_^ It's hard to keep up though in the face of insults.

    Sometimes, if I get really infuriated, I let them know I'm no longer capable of continuing conversations with them and turn off notifications. It's the final F U because now they can say whatever they want, and I can't see it.

    Yes. If they get too ridiculous I do the same. Notifications off. No more commenting. I forget that this is my channel & I have the final say so :)

    I actually get those type of comment pretty much and it is annoying.
    Growth comes with dedication and hard work.
    Problem is that on forums these days you see the same thing where people promote their content but never react anywhere or help others with feedback or just a simple conversation to get to know people.
    It is a shame people do things like that...
