How to get a FREE full version of Fraps

Well to me personally this is a kinda of grey area of distribution, And im not going to say im against it but im sure by different points of view everyone has a different opinion.

 

No its not, I would like to point out Zeus, that you buy a "License" for the software, which allows you to use it one "One PC". What you are doing here, actually breaks the "EULA" of FRAPS, if it was like "Netflix" which it is not, then we would all be using FRAPS for free, dont ya think? And with regards to Netflix, depending on what plan you have setup, you are limited to the amount of devices using the service at one time.

So both points you have made, make me sad

Please guys, try the software, if you like it, support the company who make it buy purchasing a LEGITIMATE copy of the software.

 

OP please don't take this the wrong way, but Fraps is outdated. There hasn't been an update to the software since Feb 26, 2013. Also it uses up so much storage size when creating video files from the games you play that is can bog down your hard drive if you are not careful.

Fraps use to be awesome, now it's just &*^%..

Use OBS (FREE) or Xsplit (PAID) from their websites....You can local record with both.

 

Exactly, eventually it will be completely ancient, especially with the new release of DX12. When games start using DX12, it will be game over for FRAPS unless they update it.

 

I really liked FRAPS. It was easy to use and it never failed to record your gameplay, even if the file size would fill up your hard drive before you knew it. But with it going this long without any updates or news from the development team I wouldn't be surprised if the program is dead at this point..

 

FRAPS is good but for recording long session you going to need a big hard drive.
