Is youtube possibly going to start doing major QC on videos which in turn would shutdown a majority of channels leaving only the very large channels? It feels like they may have to become a legitimate studio rather than just a social video site.

I have been hearing constantly about the adpocylpse and rising pressure from advertisers to put more restrictions on what kind of videos should be aloud on youtube. Also, it has come to my attention that Youtube seems to never really turn a profit and with that being said, wouldn't Google then either shut Youtube down or force them to be much more selective on what can be uploaded?

I don't know what your sources are but I don't think YouTube is going to do anything overly major in terms of major changes to the platform.

The adpocalypse has mostly blown over, I think. The demonetization bot was made in response to that and it's actually learning and I've seen reports of many less videos hit, compared to when it first happened. Also, YouTube hired 10000 people to look over videos(was this why you made this topic? I'm not sure) but it was more to handle the demonetization bot better.

it was more of a thought than a statement. It just seems like every month there's another problem for creators and with the possibility of Net Neutrality being voted out by the courts, they may have to do something in order to survive.
