Hi, Pirate here. Here's my tips for starting on Twitch as a streamer.

    • Find your style
What are you good at and what makes you unique on this platform, and what makes people interested to watch you?
    1. Being good at the game (Pro player)
    2. Being funny
    3. Being interesting person
    4. Being good at for example: Drawing, music etc.
    • Equipment
Before we start with the equipment's, do not invest in expensive equipment's. It is not necessary if you're starting off as a streamer.
Microphone (Good quality microphone can help with the stream quality)
Webcam (Not needed, but helps a lot)
At leaset 5mbps in download and upload speed. If you've at least 5mbps up and down, then you can stream in 720p 30fps.
    Check your speed at: http://beta.speedtest.net/

    • Streaming tools
There's many streaming programs you can use, but the best and free one is OBS (Open Broadcast Software)
    Download link
Adding a plugin called "Browser plugin", can allow you to use stream alerts.
Check out on YouTube on how to setup the settings and add your stream key to your OBS settings.

    • Channel art
Channel art can help the viewers out on what your channel is about, or how your channel identity is all about. Panel buttons can be customized and give the viewers in-depth details on for example: Information about you or the stream, links to social media, donation button and so on.

    • SCHEDULE & STREAM LENGTH
Having a schedule is really really important if you're into streaming and want to take it serious. It doesn't need to be more then 1-2 days a week, just make sure that you viewers know when you go live.

The stream must at least last 3 hours, under that is't much of a "stream". But as you start as a streamer, it really dosen't matter since you've no schedule or how long you stream for.

    • Interaction / Chat
Always interact with your viewers. Even if there's none viewers watching you, you still need to talk about the game, or an off-topic subject. You never know when a viewer pops in to the stream, always have something to talk about.

Being silent in your stream can work out for some streamers, but it depends if the go under the category of being a pro player or not.

    • Stream alerts
Stream alerts can really help you out to interact with your viewers. There might be a viewer who followed your channel. By being alerted that a viewer followed you makes it much easier to start a conversation with the viewer or just by saying "Hey Username, thanks for following my stream. Hope you enjoy your stay". By having stream alerts on your stream can really increase the interaction with your viewers. It also give the viewers a little good feeling seeing their name displayed on your stream as well that you shouted his or hers name out.
    • Play with your viewers
As you grown your own community, it can be really hard to play with all of your viewers. But it increases your relationship with your viewers, and they get to know you a little better. Having them in your voice chat can be fun and also make it more entertaining for other viewers to hear you talking to some one.
    • Moderators
As your channel grow, things can go a little outta hand. And you won't be able to handle the situation on your own. Their can be for instance: trolls, viewers that behave in a bad way, or just generally haters.

Not all the time does the streamer have time to do this on his own, so moderators are always useful have around.

    • Channel bots
Channel bots can be really helpful.
    - trigger commands that can give the viewers helpful information.
    - Lets the viewers bet or play with loyalty points.
    - Lets the viewers see how long your stream has been active, and how long they have followed the streamer.
    - Lets the viewers choose music.

There's endless of cool functions you can add to a channel bots that can make your viewers more active. having a song request is one of the good things.

Want more in-depth information and tips for streamers? Let me know :)

Wow, these are some great tips on how to stream on Twitch.
I've been streaming on twitch for a while but I didn't get any views or just a couple. How can I increase that?
and which channel bot is the best to use??

The best channel bot is called "Nightbot".
You can make your viewers request songs, use commands and enter giveaways.

To get viewers in the first place it's the best to ask if your friends or family can join in your live stream, so you can get more exposure out on the twitch platform. You can also use social media as a tool for self-advertising when it comes to when you're going live or if you're live. A good think to make your viewers stick to the channel, is to talk pretty much through those hours your stream. Being silent in the stream can make the new viewers run away. Always have something to talk about.

When starting out with live streaming on Twitch or other platforms, you’ll want to choose new and popular games that are currently attracting buzz. Trending games are more likely to get the attention of viewers and will help them discover your channel. Check game sites and search engines to see which recent games are in the news and garnering praise from players. If you manage to get a pre-release copy of a certain popular game, that’s even better.

    Great tips!
    Keep them coming.
Streaming can be difficult and it's not the same as making a video that you can edit to make interesting.

    Planning is key.

An other great tip at the moment is that the streaming software OBS has a new version.
Streamlabs has made his own version of OBS.
this piece of software has all of your streamlab widgets integrated into the OBS software and is a lot faster and more stable to work with!
Click on OBS for the site

I checked out the Streamlabs/OBS platfrom and it really makes it easy to get up and streaming.
It will import all your Streamlabs alerts and stats automatically if you want it to.
The library of overlays are a great way to get started and are easy to edit to your individual needs.

    It's worth checking out. :)
