Why do I need to coordinate with Freedom! regarding all "live streaming" content? This is per their new contract. According to this I need to at the very least notify Freedom (not sure who or how) prior to doing any live streams.

When I went to log into my Freedom/MGN dashboard it is asking me to agree to a new contract before letting me into the dashboard. In section 3.1 it says

"As of the Effective Date, Talent will coordinate with Freedom! in good faith regarding all "live streaming" content that Talent may create, (i.e., real-time or near real-time, streaming of "live" content of any kind, including commentary, discussion, game play, e-sports, etc. (collectively, the "Live Stream Content") on the Talent’s Channels (or on such other Freedom! controlled channels as mutually agreed upon by Freedom! and Talent)."
Section 3.2 then says we need to get permission from Freedom to record and/or edit our live streams prior to uploading them to our channels!

"The parties will coordinate and agree on whether Live Stream Content will be recorded, edited and distributed on the Talent’s Channels (or on such other Freedom! controlled channel on YouTube as mutually agreed upon by Freedom! and Talent) for Video on Demand (“VOD”) viewing following the conclusion of the applicable live stream."

Then in section 7 it talks about syndicating our content but no where does it say we get a portion of the revenue from said syndication. It also says that Freedom can continue to syndicate and monetize all previous content after the contract is terminated. However, it does not say if they need to continue giving us a percentage of that monetization after the contract is terminated.

    7. Right of Distribution and Syndication.

7.1 Talent grants to Freedom! the non-exclusive right, license and privilege to enter into syndication and/or distribute Talent’s content in all languages and versions and digital formats in all media now known or in future devised, including all upgrades, enhancements, modifications and functional substitutions therefore. The right to syndication and/or distribution shall also include other affiliated and non-affiliated Multi Channel Networks and other similar service providers.

7.2 Upon termination of this Agreement, Freedom! shall retain ongoing rights over the Talent’s Content that was subject to this Agreement and shall continue to monetize the content that is syndicated or distributed. For clarity, this does not apply to any content created after termination of this Agreement. This section survives even after termination of this Agreement.

I would like to continue on as an MGN partner but really need to have some answers before agreeing to this new contract.

ok as for section 7 is if you make content for the mgn or freedom channels. yes you don't get any percentage from that as you are donating said content to them for them to use and monetize. as for 7.2 on termination if you leave mgn /freedom just states that all videos that you have made and donated to mgn/freedom they retain the rights and you can not claim the videos. now for the first part 3.1 and 3.2 I need more info on and ill get what I can and get back to you asap.

Everything you are talking about only applies to if you are uploading or live streaming to the Freedom! channel, I think MGN to so if you don't do that then no worries.

This is what Freedom told me on Twitter. However, if this is the case then why would sections 3.1 & 3.2 read " on the Talent’s Channels (or on such other Freedom! controlled channels as mutually agreed upon by Freedom! and Talent)" Where as "Talent" refers to us the creators.

True, that could be true but what could they really do. They have told us that's only for their channel. I have been living streaming and been fine, and you will be to.
