Youtube Tags

I put Emicarn in as a tag and then I have a tag that is unique that I put in all my videos. The theory I've read there is if that tag appears in all you videos it increases the likely hood that in the recommended videos that show up yours are more likely to be in that list. And may help increase your retention.

I also use rapidtags.io to come up with a list of tags, and cull what I think works from that. Since I tend to do series, it works well because I have a list of tags I keep in a txt file for each game with the descripts and links to cut and paste in.

 

This is something everyone needs and by far the best suggestion you will hear and it is get a video analysis software like VidIQ and tubebuddy software's like this you can use to your advantage these software's follow trends and rank tags aswell as reveal other youtubers tags, for example I just made a video about the new DLC for battlefield its the first day the details have been released and only the big major youtubers released it, this means they are competing with each other(the big youtubers) meaning there will be a large amount of emphasis on their tags you can then just go onto their videos copy their tags which have nice ranking icons on them(most searched icons) and throw them onto your videos. The reason this is good is because the larger youtubers have so much more experience with tagging videos and they know what tags will get the most responses, this will be a great way to learn what good tags are and what bad tags are!

 

I agree with all thats been said but be sure to include ur screen name(s) and relevant tags to increase how many of ur vids will pull in a search for that keyword : ))
