omg technical difficulties

just ranting a little.
we havent been able to post videos in a long while because of one malfunction or another. i thought we had everything fixed so my wife and i sat down and recorded for like 8 hours. played through a whole game start to finish and recorded it. we she was editing the videos and it seems as if after about 5 minutes of recording it decided to stop and we didnt know it. we have 8 videos of us playing a game that are only 2-5 minutes long because it decided to stop recording and we didnt know it.

grr so now we have to re-record the game witch sucks because our reaction wont be as genuine....somtimes doing youtube really frustrates me

Well. These things happen. Unfortunately technology and software isn't perfect. Maybe have a backup recording system.

Hey there.
Well, that is indeed quite sad and frustrating. Its good to do a test before but I guess it didn't help. Consider keeping a seperate recording stored on to your hard drive, as Showcase mentioned. Hopefully your efforts bring success

Yeah i feel bad for you, once i recorded a 20 hour game. The whole thing went to waste because my recorder had changed its own settings so that it wasnt fully compatible with my computer. It caused alot of lag, and you could barely see the video.

It's a bummer when computers decide to get wrecked at their own liking. I'm sure that you can fix it for the future though! Errors can really de-motivate making videos a tad bit, but it's good that you can still make other content still ^^

oh yeah. we deffently will be making new content still but as i said we wanted that game up and now that we have to re-record it our reactions wont be the same and it sucks lol thus is the life of a youtuber

lol been there.
we once recorded about 2 or 3 20min videos and for whatever reason our capture program changed settings and didnt record any audio

What my friend does is record with two separate cameras on two separate systems then brings them together in his editing programs (how I dont know but justbthrowing that out there)
