The Rumored NX has been announced as the Nintendo Switch!

The Switch will be a console/handheld hybrid
with basically a tablet pulling out of the base tower that connects it to a TV confirming the rumors around the console.

As cool as I think this hybrid console is (omg Pokemon on the big screen!) others have not been so convinced, as Nintendo stock has dropped by 7% following the reveal. The console reveal came along with some of the biggest 3rd party dev support of any previous Nintendo console but as time passes more and more devs have come forward to say that the games shown in the reveal trailer are not confirmed for a Switch release.
Nintendo's future hangs on the fence with the release of the Switch as the Wii U did not bring as much money to the company as they had hoped and has been considered a failed console by many in the gaming community.

All that aside Nintendo has said that we haven't seen all the features of the Switch yet and that is great news for people who want to see Nintendo succeed. Hopefully they have more groundbreaking things to show us in the near future that will get more interest in the console, it would be a shame to see Nintendo drop out of the hardware side of things, as I believe great games like Zelda, Mario, and Pokemon all hang in the balance of Switch being successful.

Keep checking in here for more news, as I will keep you guys informed as I get new information!

    Hey, Thank's for the News!
I'll be looking forward to stitch my self to a Nintendo switch sooner if I manage to pull my attraction from the xbox one section XD

Anyways, Thanks for keeping us in touch. Love you! :p

From what I've heard of the Nintendo Switch it's going to be priced at roughly £400/$650 CAD, which is insane. Though that's not a verified pricing, it's a pre-order pricing from several UK websites. If that's the case not only will the console fail but it'll get too much backlash.

The game choices they're going with are very Nintendo-Generic and terrible, I think they need to re-think their strategy with Nintendo releases and stop focusing on Mario/Legend of Zelda (Granted the upcoming Zelda game will be tremendous as it's an open-world one.)

The console itself looks wonderful, the specifications are pretty well set for New-Generation, opposed to anything they've previously released.

I have to say I'm VERY excited though.

Nintendo has been set in its ways as far as their first party games since the start. But the release of the switch looked to have the biggest third party support of any Nintendo console. Let's just hope they don't all back out

Most websites just put an approximate price as a placeholder. It should change closer to launch.

This might be a bit controversial for me and before I get into this too far, just know that I have owned every Nintendo product right up to and including the Wii, but I am not really looking forward to the Nintendo Switch. It just seems even more gimmicky than the Wii U. Also, and I am calling it now, there are going to be complaints about missing and broken parts. I say this as the glide track for the controllers is plastic and we have to remember, since the Nintendo was originally meant for children, most parents will buy it for them and I am foreseeing broken tracks and missing controllers. I am probably going to pass on this one. I kind of just want a nice system plain and simple, none of these tablets and detachable things. Call me old fashioned, but I enjoy a good ol controller! The problem with the Wii U was that it was met with an underwhelming response as it offered not too much that was new, even upon the revealing of it, a lot of people were confused whether or not it was actually just another apparatus for the Wii. I feel that Nintendo should stop focusing on trying to reinvent the console and start focusing on better NEWER games or maybe even working on reviving old titles!

I agree with Frosted, and the fact that we don't know how good the game will even look when on portable, or how it will perform. We also don't know the battery life or how far away from the console we can be, unless it's literally the screen.
