The Shop

HAHA LOL MONEY MONEY MOOONEY MONEY MOOONEY LOL. Yeah i cant wait to see what MGN will bring to the table in terms of the Shop. Hope its something awesome. You know what would be cool if they added free game codes for Xbox One,PS4 and Wii U! Not everyone has a pc that can record and play the games at the same time and in good quality. Its an untapped market really, maybe Xbox Live arcade games and PSN arcade games and Wii U Arcade Games to start out and see how it goes? I almost want to make a post dedicated to it but i dont know if its a good idea what do you think?

 

An idea we were talking about is for MGN merch like T-shirts and snap backs for partners to wear in streams etc. Not sure what happened with that idea though.

 

I for one have never liked the idea of having to pay for branded merchandise. Maybe it is just me but if a company wants me to advertise for them then they should at the very least give me the materials. This isn't aimed at MGN but all branded clothing. When I was a teen I never understood my friends paying $40 for a Nike hoodie when I could get one of better quality for under $20.

I do understand that. It is still, however, buying branded merchandise. There are allot of ways to buy something, not just monetarily. In this case it is using our time, information, and skills by sharing here on the forums to buy the branded merchandise to advertise MGN. It don't affect me as I don't use a facecam and unless shown that it will dramatically increase my views don't plan to. That said why not just give away the branded merchandise to the partner with the highest percentage of growth each week. Truly rewarding the partner base for building their channel rather than building the forums/MGN/Freedom.

 

No problem man its ok, i took a long time to answer too lol, sorry about that. Had alot going on lately, anyway im really glad that you think its a good idea! Hopefully we can get more people to roll with this bandwagon, i made a post poll to see if people thought it was a good idea. I encourage you to vote and spread the word so maybe mgn will actually consider it!

Hahaha i know right? Like who spends that much money on clothes, for me personally if im gonna spend that much money or more it be for something i could use and have fun with,something that entertains me,or something that gets me a return investment. Or maybe a collectors item?

People who are new or dont grow as much because they get shadowed by other youtubers don't really have a chance. Its like they say the rich get richer and the poor get poorer no? Not really. By basing growth on the percentage of growth the smaller channel would need less numbers of subscribers or views (whichever they base it on). For example a partner with 100 subs would only need to add 10 new subs to have a 10% growth rate, whereas a partner with 1000 subscribers would need to grow by 100. Yes the bigger you are the easier it seems it is to grow but that is why I suggested it be percentage based and not numbers based

 

A percentage based gain could be bad for things. There are people who would end up paying for subscribers just so they're able to get something.

Im not entirely sure but ill take your word for it i guess. I don't know how many subs u have but i only have like 240 subs so yes % wise it easier for smaller channels to win through numbers but you havent factored that people will neglect small channels or they wont give them a the light of day because they think that since their sub count is low they are bad and go for the guy that has the most views/ subs. Plus people can buy views and subs, its not that difficult to do so and the giveaways can be rigged. I dont do it and i never will cause its wrong and unfair for the people that actually have to work hard to get to where they are.

Yeah you'd be suprised at how many people buy subs and views these days. I don't do it personally because its wrong and its unfair to the people that work hard and long to get to where they are today. Besides if there was a give away of some sorts it would have to start out fair or have a close to a fair chance for it to not be rigged right? Idk maybe im wrong if i am ill accept and admit it.

Yeah but its not really a shop, the only thing in there is a pass to the YouTube part of the forums were you get to post your videos for people to see in hopes they will look at your videos and in turn you look at others and they can comment about your videos and tell you of they like em i few have told me that. it only costs 10 points and i thought when i first started that it meant you had to buy it every time you posted a video which sounded unfair at first but it mad sense. No actually its just bought once so you can post your videos whenever you upload. Like talking with just me on the forums made you level up almost to my level in a day! it took me a month lol. But yeah besides that the shop is baren. I put some cool ideas on the board for how we can use our points like using them to redeem console game codes. cause mgn only gives away stem codes to their partners. Not everyone has a $1,000 pc to record their own pc with. Even with obs etc.

Yeah haha you seem excited, lol the steam codes have always been free to members. Granted its a select few bit way more and way better than freedom had to offer its partners. But yeah digital codes for consoles would be as great as riskin it to get the biscuit, but i don't know if it'll happen. Mgn is cool and nicer than freedom but its not that popular. Id make content for mgn hands down if submiting a video wasnt that hard. You have to make a channel trailer of your best work and it has to be a minute i think. it's not that hard for someone that has few videos but i have over 300! Seems really hard to do that with someone in my shoes. Maybe it's just a channel trailer, but i suck at making those. plus i barely have time to make my own videos let alone mgn. But a guy can dream cant he.

Haha yeah who doesn't like free stuff! well there are some things, broken bones, bruises, poison, slaps to the face, a midget coming out of your fed ex box and shooting you lol. But yeah most of the time free stuff is good haha XD. Did you know in Africa for every sixty minutes.... theres an hour hahaha . That joke makes people laugh hard cause it sounds like those commercials on tv and they are waiting and are like oh.. then they laugh.
