Overwatch Ban System

Well it may he a harsh thing but seeing the many activity of Hackers i think it is more then fair to recieve a permanent ban.

 

BOOO CHEATERS! Either play fair or don't play at all

Especially If they keep doing it.

I'm quite curious how it works actually as the hackers say they've completely cleaned everything basically creating a new identity. changed IPs,wiped hard drives etc and their still banned when they buy a new copy.

 

That is a good one actually. Fun thing i don't understand is why cheat with Overwatch as you only gain cosmetic rewards with the loot boxes. Reminds me that i played against a lvl 94 yesterday wich is impossible

 

Well with steam its actually more simpler.

For example steam has gave me a unique id number aka this is mine STEAM_0:0:29281118 and anything that ID does is sent from the hosted server to steams VAC system and any illegal activity found the account it gets vac banned.

Does it give your computer that ID or your account as they would have to create new accounts to re purchase the game. Either way the ID would reset if they wiped everything or got a new account I would think. Are the cheaters confirmed to be more on steam than say if they bought it for PC from the overwatch site or amazon?

 

Like allusion said it gives the account the ID and if you have to have steam open to play the game steams vac system can see if you are cheating however recently the vac system has been failing lately in my opinion cheaters are worsts then ever now!
